ADDRESSED DIG UNIT KINEMATIC UNDERPERFORMANCE BY UP TO
Measure the true performance of your machine.
GETTING STARTED
The assessment provides an overview of your dig unit's fleet performance by conducting:
ENGAGE
Initial Meeting
Getting to know our customers’ requirements and challenges is key to our process.
Commercial Proposal
We will cater a proposal to your specific requirements to ensure you get the results that are important to you.
Stakeholder Engagement
Let us know who we should engage from maintenance, production, and training departments that will benefit from our work.
Request for Information
We will present all the findings in detailed report and video summary and conduct a debrief
meeting with all teams.
EXECUTE
Site Mobilisation
We will send one of our qualified and experienced mining technologists out to facilitate the assessment on your site.
Onsite Assessment
Our representative fits specialised sensors to your machine (magnetically mounted). We execute our detailed work instruction, you’ll get a copy to review, and we’ll make sure we are compliant to your processes to ensure the work is done safely. Machine performance is measured within 60 minutes, this can be done during a typical PM clinic or fuel up.
EVALUATE
Report Analysis
We analyse all the sampled onsite assessment data and match this up with previous historical data to identify underperformance and communicate this to your stakeholders.
Report and Video Presentation
We will ask for production data, availabilities, utilisation, fleet specifications, and other information to prepare out pre-assessment report before coming to site to ensure maximum utility.
OUR PATENTED RESULTS
Kinematic performance across your dig unit fleet.
We measure kinematic performance using a subset of our technology offering. Our portable units use best-in-class IMUs (sensors) for accurate and precise results.
We measure all kinematic performance of all of your machines’ movements to determine if your machines are underperforming and ensure that they are tuned for maximum sustainable performance. The examples below demonstrates the outputs on slewing (yaw) performance and comparing this to your fleet.
THE DELIVERABLES
The assessment provides an overview of your dig unit's fleet performance by conducting:
Comprehensive Technical Report
Our technical report following the assessment is typically several hundred pages and serves as a technical reference for your site’s teams.
Report Summary Video
Our professional summary video offers a better format to communicate what we did and highlight core finding to teams quickly.
Identify Production Bottlenecks & ROI
Our report focuses on identifying your production bottlenecks by measuring actual machine performance and separating this from the productivity chain. We will provide an honest estimate on ROI for stage two to earn our keep.
Reference Material
We don’t gatekeep what you paid for. Everything we gather, you’ll get a copy of. This includes all our high-quality inputs that make up our findings including raw sensor data, figures, video, and photos taken during our onsite assessment.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long will each assessment take per machine?
Typically, 45 minutes. Generally conducted during fuel up or periodic maintenance to minimize any impact on production. Our detailed safe work instructions defined the process and risks thoroughly to ensure the assessment is carried out safely and efficiently.
Can't I just use a stopwatch to measure machine speed?
Despite production diggers costing tens of million, a crude stopwatch is often the only tool used to define performance.
Using a stopwatch will tell you how fast a joint got from point A to Point B but will not provide you detailed information on non-linear, non-uniform velocity and acceleration. This information is vital for precision tuning of your machine.
We already have HP systems on our diggers, can I use this data?
No. Although we like to use as much of your existing hardware for permanent installs, due to the commercial implications of our stage one assessment data, we must use hardware that is calibrated and qualified to an independent standard and cannot certify results of hardware that is not ours.
Likewise, our sensors use proprietary coning, scullin and extended kalman filters for reliable results that may not be present on your existing hardware.
